How to turn a Can’t into a Can

by

Even though Can and Can’t are located on opposite sides of the ability spectrum, it is surprising easy to turn one into the other.

As easy as a CBA logo

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia proved this recently when it turned all their CAN’T billboards into CAN by the simple insertion of their CBA logo.

Barry Mourad from the Randwick Botany Club loves his food and this gives him a bit of a weight problem in a few areas. He took his place in the B grade bunch when he turned up to race at Lansdowne a couple of weeks ago. He admitted then that he couldn’t see himself doing much good at the Sydney Road Titles last Saturday against the quality A grade riders who he was to ride against.

But come Saturday morning and all it took to was a bit of wind to place Barry in the right position to shadow Steve Darracott across the finish line to take the silver medal in a 3 man break. It is just amazing what a breath of wind can do to turn a can’t into a can (and vice versa)

Regular lottery hopefuls use multiple strategies and spend big in purchasing the maximum number of tickets that they can afford. The majority do not win anything. How is it that we often hear of a lottery winner (who is not even registered) needing to buy only a singular ticket? As the saying goes….you only need one ticket to turn a ‘can’t win’ into a ‘can win’.

If you can’t see in a dark room, all you have to do is flick the light switch and all is revealed. It is also amazing how a pair of eye glasses can suddenly allow you to focus on something that you could not do so with your old naked eyes.

When you can’t stand the stuff on TV, you only need to hit the off button. If you can’t stand a certain person, all you need to do is walk away. One minute, you can be ‘on top of the world’ and a single sound, image or sensation will send you ‘down in the dumps’. It just doesn’t take much effort.

Everything in life is at the turning point, no matter how far apart they seem to be. That is why things can turn either way so quickly and easily– whether you have anything to do with it or not.
